Back at it again, because I can get away with wearing Vans to work! I love Vans with prints, so I had to robocop these Vans Era Guate Weave.
These are a pretty nice shoe similar to other Eras I’ve reviewed in the past, but with the obvious Guatemalan-inspired print on the upper. For those not in the know, the Authentics were among the first kicks Vans released, and the similar-looking Era released almost 10 years later as Vans first pro model.
These have an all canvas upper. I honestly would have liked suede on the black parts, but that said, the canvas quality is nice and the shoe overall is built solidly. These definitely seem like they could take more abuse than a pair of canvas Authentics.
The Vans Era Guate Weave fit true to size and are very comfortable. The extra padding vs a pair of Authentics is slight, but noticeable and appreciated. Between these, Authentics and Sk8 His, we have my 3 favorite models of Vans!
