The Under Armour Curry 2 Iron Sharpens Iron is based off of Curry’s will to make his team better through hard work. This isn’t my first pair of Curry 2s, but I’m increasingly feeling the Curry line and these likely won’t be my last pair either.
Although ostensibly a basketball shoe, I’m not seeing any problem wearing these casually, as they are lightweight and snug in a comfortable way. These almost seem made for casual wear due to the colorway – I’m not sure any pro or college team is rocking a grey/rainbow uniform right now!
Like other pairs of Under Armour kicks I’ve reviewed, the materials on these are basically synthetic. On this particular pair, the upper is a plastic/TPU type of material with a knit type textile towards the rear. Although I can’t really judge them on the same level as a shoe made out of suede or leather, I can say that the shoes seem well put together, solid and of good quality, unlike other tech bball kicks that can often have flimsy uppers.
The Under Armour Curry 2 Iron Sharpens Iron are definitely snug in a comfortable way. They’re made for performance, so definitely go true to size. The lacing system is similar to the lacing on a pair of Air Jordan 9s or 11s. I’m hoping you all don’t sleep on this model as the dope colorways continue to release and Stephen Curry continues to be a beast on-court!
