It’s been a few weeks since I bought a new pair of shoes but I’m back! And what better pair to get than these Saucony Grid SD Quilted in tan!
I’ve never owned a pair of Grid SD’s as they always seemed a little cheaply made in photos online, but this pair looks premium and it delivers! Two pairs dropped with the quilted look in different combinations of tan and grey.
I tend to go with lighter colored outfits when rocking kicks with tan tones. In this case I did a white top with light wash jeans combo. I’m definitely a big fan of this look with wheat colored shoes and the lighter fit helps the darker tones on the kicks stand out a bit.
I’m really trying to be selective on sneaker pickups these days and so a pair needs to compliment my collection somehow. The quilted uppers and excellent materials make these a unique add to the stacks and I highly recommend picking up a pair of these!
How Are The Materials?
The materials on these are really nice! I’ve been burned on Sauconys before with respect to quality, but the suede used is nice and buttery on these. The quilted parts are a nice quality leather. The only downside are typical Saucony quality control issues where the midsole attaches to the upper, but this isn’t bad enough to make these a pass.
How Do They Fit?
The Saucony Grid SD Quilted is very comfortable and fits a little big. I went down a half size and I’m glad I did as these provide a toebox that is way roomier than it looks in pictures. The shoes are light and well-cushioned. These might just be one of the more comfortable kicks I own!
