The Saucony Grid 9000 Play Cloths Motocross colorway is a collab between Pusha T’s clothing line Play Cloths and my new favorite sneaker brand Saucony.
These are based off of a motocross theme and feature a special motorcycle graphic on the insole and the ‘077’ number near the toebox, representing Pusha’s birth year of 1977.
I’ve already reviewed one pair of Grid 9000s, and I think this collaboration is a good second pair to add to the collection. I highly recommend copping these if you can find a pair for a reasonable price. The colorway, detailing, materials and comfort are all there – this shoe is so dope!
I’m really digging the mix of colors. I find kicks like this work really well when the rest of my outfit is a little more on the monotone or plain side. An easy matchup for these is black pants and a hoodie with a white tee underneath.
How Are The Materials?
The uppers are basically comprised of suede and ripstop. I’m not normally a huge fan of ripstop, but it works here in small doses and the suede is of very good quality, much like other premium Saucony releases. Overall, these seem to be built well with only a few glue marks and paint rubs on the midsole. I think after the Play Cloths collabs, Saucony improved a bit on quality, but these are still put together nicely and in an interesting combination of materials.
How Do They Fit?
The Saucony Grid 9000 Play Cloths Motocross fit true to size and are super comfortable. The seem like they would fit big and chunky, but they actually come off pretty sleek and light on foot.
