2015 marks the 200th anniversary of the battle Of New Orleans and of course local stores celebrated. The Saucony Courageous Sneaker Politics The Jackson is a collab that came out of this.
The shoes’ colorway is based off of Andrew Jackson’s uniform and the tongue tag features an icon of President Jackson. The insoles have stitched in flags of the United States and a pirate flag of the French that aided the US in the battle. Sneaker Politics really hooked it up on this pair, which came with multiple high quality lace sets and 3 commemorative pins.
These have a lot of bright colors. I’d recommend going with a more low profile outfit and let the kicks do the talking. Either dark denim and a dark top or some dark shorts and a light top should work with these.
Everyone seems to be sleeping on this collab – likely because the Saucony Courageous is a fairly polarizing model among collectors. However, these are so cushy and lightweight despite the premium materials – I can’t recommend these enough!
How Are The Materials?
People are seriously going to regret passing on these – the materials are so good! The leather on the ankle liner and the rest of the shoe is of great quality and the suede on the navy and beige parts are extremely buttery! I can’t believe these were only $100 when they dropped! All the dope materials and extras are so nice that when I got these in hand, I had to just stand there and look at them for a while! These are definitely on par with the different pairs of all suede Shadow 6000s I’ve come to regard as my favorites.
How Do They Fit?
The Saucony Courageous Sneaker Politics The Jackson fit true to size and are very comfortable. It’s odd, some claim the Courageous fit big, but I think they actually fit fairly accurately, and I have more of a narrow foot than many sneakerheads.
