Here we have a model from the Nike SB line that also comes in a non-sb flavor that is barely distinguishable from the “skateboarding” version. I picked the Nike Trainerendor Metallic Silver as this colorway seemed the best choice at the time.
The shoe is supposed to be the be-all-end-all for trainers, or the ender of trainers. The omega. After this, there shall be none. Actually, I just kind of made that up. What I do like about these is their overall shape, and the look of the shoe, which pulls off a 3M look without the actual reflection aspect. Also digging the tiny bit of camo print on the rear pulltab and the speckling on the midsole.
A knit upper with a suede strap and neoprene tongue comprise these shoes. The suede leaves a bit to be desired but otherwise the shoe is solidly built and I have no other complaints about the materials. As mentioned earlier, the knit mesh upper is reminiscent of 3M, mostly off the colorway. It really does give these a metallic chainmail type of look!
The Nike Trainerendor Metallic Silver fit true to size for me and are insanely comfortable. They’re really lightweight and utilize an inner sock bootie / Nike free insole to give these a snug fit (in a good way). You definitely won’t be disappointed with these if you’re looking for some non-heat to wear around comfortably, with the slight edginess of the strap to give it that “trainer” feel.
