The Nike SB Dunk Low Nicole Hause is a clean and well-executed collab with Nike SB Team skater Nicole Hause. While this is a special collaboration, it sticks to the Purple Box era instead of the Sail Box often used for limited releases.
The most eye-catching element is the truncated Swoosh with a blue and white gingham pattern. That same pattern is repeated through a cutout Nike logo on the back heel, adding a unique textured look. Nicole’s name is displayed proudly on the tongue tag, while the insoles feature a detailed cloud and bird illustration with the words “Victory of the People,” tying in her passion for birdwatching.
The crisp, mostly white leather upper, immediately gave me Mulder Dunk Low vibes from the OG Orange Box era. Sure, the blue ankle liner deviates from that classic look, and the university blue here is a bit lighter, but it’s still got that timeless, clean feel. I ended up grabbing these on sale, which made the decision even easier.
One standout feature is the detachable chain featuring her initials. It’s a nice little extra, but I personally prefer to rock mine without it for practicality. The shoes also come with three sets of laces: white and university blue oval SB laces, and flat blue laces with black and white speckles.
Materials
Nike didn’t skimp on quality here. The upper is nearly entirely tumbled leather, and it feels solid for the $125 price point. The Swoosh’s gingham textile adds some contrast, giving the design a little more depth without going overboard.
Fit & Comfort
These fit like most SB Dunks—snug at true to size. If you’re on the fence, going up half a size wouldn’t hurt, especially if you like a little extra room. The Zoom Air cushioning in the heel is reliable, providing decent comfort whether you’re skating or just walking around.
If these are sold out in skate shops or online, you can try looking for them on eBay.
