I’m still going strong on my SB dunk wave. Here’s a pair of GRs that I went back and copped after they hit super discount; the Nike SB Dunk High Pro Desert Camo.
These get their nickname from the brown camoflage print on the upper. They come with a set of brown laces and a set of black laces.
The brown colorway on these makes them good to match with dark blue denim, and the black hits make black pants a possibility as well. Normally I’m wary of pairing black with brown, but it can work on a shoe like this. Even light colored pants such as grey or a light wash jean could work, but I would avoid khakis with these. These look great with a black or grey top to end off the fit.
I was going to pass on these, but I managed to get them way under retail and couldn’t pass it up! While SBs are surging in popularity currently, that doesn’t mean some pairs don’t get slept on, and these are definitely some sleepers!
How Are The Materials?
The entire upper is canvas except for a bit of leather on the swoosh. Overall the quality seems good and the shoe gives off a rugged vibe. The leather on the swoosh is basic in quality, but other than that, there’s not much to speak of with these. Interestingly, the tongue also appears to be made of canvas.
How Do They Fit?
These Nike SB Dunk High Pro Desert Camo are comfy at a half size up for me. True size might also be workable, but you can avoid break-in and a painful pinky toe by sticking to your true size. The materials on these are a bit stiff, so take that into account when thinking about how these will fit. If you get the sizing right, these are quite comfortable and fairly supportive.
