Moving from Nike Sportswear Blazers over to the SB world, I’m back with these Nike SB Blazer Low GT Fir.
The Blazer Low is in some ways an unofficial Grant Taylor signature shoe and this is the latest in a series of dope colorways for the model.
These come in the rainbow quickstrike Nike SB box and ship with a set flat white laces as well as wider flat green laces. Grant Taylor/GT branding can be seen on the tongue tag and insole as well as the box label.
I’ve been getting into blazers and now blazer lows a bit, and I definitely had my eye on this colorway. I waited until I could get in the skate shop to cop these, and as always I suggest you support your local shops if you have any.
How Are The Materials?
We have a skate shoe level of ruggedness to the materials, however they are still of decent quality for a $90 shoe.
The suede has a backstroke color change and does have an element of softness even though it’s not exactly “buttery” or premium. The leather on the swoosh is nothing special but at least it looks good with a nice finish to it, and the canvas type material towards the back adds to the rugged element of the shoe. Overall a nice blend of materials make these stand out a bit from what I expected from an SB Blazer.
How Do They Fit?
The Nike SB Blazer Low GT fit true to size.
Due to availability in my local skate shop, I went a half size up, and while they do fit a little loose around the ankle, the tongue straps help hold the sneaker to my feet. Therefore, the solid comfort is still there. These have zoom air insoles, adding a bit of springy responsiveness to an otherwise somewhat standard level of comfortability.
