These are among the first SB’s ever created. Nike team skater Richard Mulder helped design these.
As a bay area native, I have to try and ignore the fact that these kicks were based off of the colorway to the Los Angeles Dodgers uniform. These joints are pretty old and tough to find in decent condition.
Clean white and blue kicks are not that difficult to match. Light colored anything is pretty much going to go with these. I personally was going to go with a grey and blue Supreme tee and some light wash denim. Thanks to a recent cold snap though, I upgraded to a grey Polo hoodie.
I was on a mission to cop all the orange box dunks for a time, and although I never completed that goal, I was lucky enough to add a clean pair of the Nike Dunk Low SB Mulder to the stacks. These are definitely as comfy as any dunk sb from that era, and the simple leather construction is comprised of top notch materials. If you are an SB head and come across a pair of these, grab them without delay and don’t sleep!
How Are The Materials?
The uppers are smooth leather. No muss, no fuss – just straight up thick, good quality materials. You can’t deny the simple but excellent construction of orange box dunks. There’s really not much else to say about these material-wise, but sometimes that’s a good thing!
How Do They Fit?
The Nike Dunk Low SB Mulder is very comfortable and fits true to size. I wound up going up a half size due to price and availability at the time I was buying, which combined with the white midsole and all leather upper give them a kind of AF1 look on me. These are one of the shoes where I don’t mind a chunkier look. These are still very comfy regardless.
