The original Concepts x Lobster collab is such a popular shoe that the Nike Dunk Low SB Blue Lobster was created a year later.
The first release of these came bagged up inside a HAZMAT foam container complete with hang tag, lace lock and lobster bands while the wider quickstrike version comes in a regular blue SB box and just includes the bands. The shoes feature lobster-like speckling on parts of the shoe and a special pattern on the inner lining.
Blue and black in this combination is tough to match up. Black, grey or khaki pants are probably the best look to play off the dark tones on the shoe. A white or grey top can complete the look regardless which denim is selected.
Concepts has a lot of dope collabs out there, and these are one of them! I’m a fan of SB’s and the original lobster dunks so I definitely have to own a pair of these. One word of advice – take the bands off and leave them off, otherwise they can mark the shoes when in storage and will mess these kicks up if you walk in them.
How Are The Materials?
The uppers are made of a super buttery leather and it damn near feels like nubuck/suede! The swoosh is made out of smooth leather. These are a blue box release, but you would never be able to tell by the materials. The quality is of a premium gold box level and SB heads won’t be disappointed with the construction.
How Do They Fit?
The Nike Dunk Low SB Blue Lobster are fairly comfortable but I found them to be stiff right out of the box. I recommend against sizing down, as overall, these feel like a slightly sturdier version of a gold box fit. Overall, true size or half size up would be the move with these.
