Pro B’s are the precursor to the Nike Dunk SB line. The Nike Dunk Low Pro B Lightning gets its name from the shade of yellow used (supposedly the same as the yellow on Boca Jrs).
Alphanumeric released a collab with Nike on a pair that is almost exactly like this, only with the Alphanumeric logo near the toe, and a way higher street value.
Overall these were grails of mine that I managed to track down. In my experience, they don’t show their age well but still look dope regardless if they’re beat or not. I’m glad I have my pair and wish good luck to those trying to track down a pair for themselves!
The colorway is easy to rock! Grey tones used on the shoe make for a good match up to a tonal grey outfit. Black, white and grey all blend well with these. I avoid wearing any yellow except as an accessory, and let the lightning shade of the laces be the sole point of color in my outfit.
Materials and Quality
They are made out of nubuck and a griptape-like material. The quality of the materials themselves are good, however these kicks can easily look trashed over time. The eyelet rub is pretty bad on the toebox with these so if you get these, be ready to baby them as they will show scuffs, scars and creases easily.
Nike Dunk Low Pro B Fit
Pro Bs fit true to size and are comfortably snug. If you like a looser fit, then by all means go up a half size.
I’d avoid buying too small a size in these. Some like to cut the straps for more comfort but I personally recommend against marring your shoes.
The stuffed tongues on Pro Bs are smaller and shorter than their SB contemporaries and tongue straps sit a bit higher for a tighter fit. Other than the lack of Zoom Air, that’s where the differences end.
