The Nike Dunk High SB Paul Brown gets its name from the official colorway and is one of the first, if not the first dunk high SB.
These are also among the few high top SB dunks that have a fat, padded tongue.
I’ve tried these with lighter colored pants and the only thing that remotely works would be some khakis. Other than that, I’d stick with dark denim. It doesn’t really matter if you go with a dark or light top with these. I went with a very dark blue shirt with light burgundy striping from Supreme – it seems tailor made for these kicks!
The orange box era consists of legendary releases known for extreme comfort, simple yet perfect color combinations and prime materials. If you like SB’s and can find a pair or Nike Dunk High SB Paul Brown for a decent price, do not hesitate to jump on that deal!
How Are The Materials?
These are comprised of rough looking, yet soft suede. While they aren’t as buttery as some other orange box releases from the era, they definitely stand out as having great quality suede.
How Do They Fit?
These have the unique padded tongue which adds to the already extreme amounts of comfort an SB from this era provides. It also make lacing these a tad awkward. I think I need some super-long SB laces to really tackle the shoe properly. This shoe fits true to size, although with that suede toebox I might have been able to size down a half size and get away with it.
