Similar to the Tiffs being remade as dunk highs, many more “low-high” flips are available. This includes these Nike Dunk High SB Cali which are a fairly accurate remake of the SB lows of the same name.
These are based off of the California flag and feature the red California “star” on the outer wing flaps.
This colorway works well with dark blue denim or dark green pants and a grey or white top. There are a few different colors on these so be careful not to wear too much brown or white – remember to let the kicks do the talking.
I think this colorway looks better on the lows, but for the price these will work. If you don’t have the lows, and want the California flag on your feet, this is the best way to affordably do that. The quality isn’t there, but the look definitely is.
How Are The Materials?
These consist of a leather upper with brown suede on the side panels. The quality is decent but not mind blowing. The suede is somewhat rough. I would not grab these based off of materials. These kicks are more about the look and inspiration; search for older SBs instead if materials are your thing.
How Do They Fit?
The Nike Dunk High SB Cali are passably comfortable. I went true to size, and while these don’t hurt my feet, I wouldn’t recommend rocking these for an extended period of time. Similar to most newer SB releases, these are stiff and require a few wears to reach their full comfort potential.
