I almost forgot that I have these Nike Dunk High Medium Grey in the collection! Luckily, I rotate through my box stacks every now and then, and I’ve turned these up!
The shoe is a basic dunk from that transitional era when Nike SB first started. These get their name from the colorway.
It’s a white and grey shoe, so the combinations are really easy to pull off. I find creating outfits with these to be a similar experience to the Pee Wee SB’s. You could go light denim and a white or grey top, or throw on some black jeans and your outfit will look dope either way. Definitely don’t be afraid to experiment with these and add some flair to the outfit to counterbalance the relatively plain colorway.
Overall I think these kicks represent a bygone time when even the most basic dunk release was impressive. The shape on these is of course the older dunk tooling which looks superior on foot to newer SB releases. For a non-SB, these give off that same vibe thanks to the tongue and laces. Not a lot of people have or have heard of these and they are tough to find, so if you come across them in your size, jump on it right away!
How Are The Materials?
These are from the time of good dunk materials! You basically have an SB without the zoom air. The tongue is mesh, the oval SB laces are there, and the upper is made out of an excellent quality leather. You could pretty much pick up any dunk from this time period and be satisfied with the materials.
How Do They Fit?
The Nike Dunk High Medium Grey fit true to size and are very comfortable. The pliable leather and roomy fit around the toebox feels snug but comfy. The support you get from these is basic, but effective.
