2021 is shaping up to be a year with a lot of dunk releases, and here is the latest addition.
These Nike Dunk High Dark Curry fall in the same “retro” line as the UNLVs I reviewed recently, however they also add the “PRM” to the box label. This indicates a slightly higher quality of release. I got the nickname for these off the Nike site.
Plain orange Nike Sportswear box and some light brown flat laces. These laces have a nice feel to them, they seem a bit softer than regular flat laces. Otherwise these don’t come with any other extras or features.
How Are The Materials?
The upper is basically all suede except for the nylon tongue. The suede on the darker panels is quite soft with a slight backstroke, but also seems a tad ashy. The suede on the swoosh is a little hairier but still soft, and the light brown suede is hairier still. Overall the materials on these seem very good for the $120 price point! I could do without a bit of the ashiness on the darker suede but I’m still happy with the texture and the overall look of the materials on the shoe.
How Do They Fit?
These Nike Dunk High Dark Curry fit slightly on the big side for me. The softer more pliable materials mean these have a bit more give and are way more comfortable right out of the box as far as the uppers. Underfoot we still get a basic level of Nike dunk comfort, just a thin strip of midsole.
These definitely feel like a premium release compared to the regular leather “retro” dunks of late. Overall while not anything spectacular, this is a unique and fairly good quality dunk for a recent release.
