These Nike Air Zoom Flight 96 have a really distinct look and were worn by Jason Kidd during the 1996 season of the NBA.
I’m a big fan of kicks famously worn by Penny Hardaway, Kidd and other guards. This pair has “Flight School 1996” printed on insole and comes with white rope laces.
Gotta love kicks with grey gradients! These are perfect for summer with shorts (as are most retro bball kicks), or green or black pants and a grey top. Any monochromatic mix of clothes or tones is going to compliment these, since the grey kind of goes with anything!
How Are The Materials?
The materials on these are decent! These feature the signature carbon-fiber inspired material on most of the upper. The rest of the shoe is has nubuck uppers and some nubuck-feeling leather and mesh on the tongue. The nubuck feels fairly soft and slightly above standard for a Nike Basketball release from a few years ago. Overall this shoe has a solid build, and while not amazing quality, it definitely will satisfy fans of this genre of sneaker.
How Do They Fit?
These Nike Air Zoom Flight 96 fit true to size. I was able to go a half size down and they still fit great. These are really comfortable too, if not a tad heavy. If you regularly wear these types of retros, you know what to expect. They are great for walking around but probably avoid if the goal is to actually play basketball in them.
