These are apparently a quickstrike, although I saw pairs of these sitting everywhere online when they first dropped. Now, pairs of the Nike Air Max 90 Reverse Infrared seem all but dried up.
Let that be a lesson to those that sleep – once a pair goes on sale, it’s eventually going to get snapped up and harder to find. These get their name due to having a similar color palette to the Infrared Air Max 90. These however fe black as the predominant color. The box for these marks them as “OG” although I’ve ever seen this colorway anywhere among any of the older pairs that I am aware of.
I recommend grabbing these if you want a dope colorway of Air Max 90s that throws back to the OG colorway while still being unique and changing it up a bit with a darker overall color scheme.
How Are The Materials?
These have a great mix of materials. The suede used is that felt suede, so don’t expect any butter there. The synthetic leather and mesh both seem to be pretty good though! Overall I’d say these are average quality and more about the colorway and look of the shoe rather than some sort of premium quality. With so many AM90s to choose from, a lot of times it’s going to boil down to aesthetics over lush materials.
How Do They Fit?
Speaking of aesthetics, the Nike Air Max 90 Reverse Infrared look clean on feet although I did need to do some reshaping and it was a bit of a struggle. After multiple rounds, I was finally able to soften up the front of the toebox enough to where these are looking good. Typical of AM90s, the fit is true to size and very comfortable. They fit a tad stiff, but only externally. In other words, the upper seems to be holding it’s shape even as they get more broken in on the inside of the shoe.
