After picking up the Hyper Turquoise colorway, I became determined to get all the OG series. Thus, we now have these Nike Air Max 90 OG Rose.
The AM90 OG line are a set of releases designed with a shape closer to the original releases from 1990.
Again, we get the super narrow 30th Anniversary box reminiscent of the original AM90 box style. These share the same pink color found on the shoes, included anatomical arch supports and hang tag. The shoes also come with standard flat white laces.
That’s three pairs of these down in the collection, with two more left. I’ve actually got them on the way, so expect more looks at different colorways of these soon!
How Are The Materials?
Just like the other “OG” series Air Max 90s we get some felt-like suede, basic leather and mesh construction, but with a slightly higher quality than a normal general Nike Sportswear release. While not soft, lush, or buttery, there is still a nicer level of quality there that is noticeable.
How Do They Fit?
The Nike Air Max 90 OG Rose fit true to my Nike size of a 10. With retro runners that aren’t Nike, I go with a 9.5, but with these I go with the same size I wear in Vans, Jordan 1s, etc. At that size, these are comfy with no break-in time, rather than pinching down on my pinky toe until broken in. The shoe is relatively nice and pointy at the toebox thanks to the “OG” tooling although the narrow box might have these looking dented when first worn. With time, many of the packed-in creases will lessen.
The narrow box does lead to some denting around the toebox by the way, which is a common complaint on the “OG” rereleases this year. Most times the dents come out when on foot, but just be careful how you line the shoes up when you store them. Try not to have the heel of one shoe jamming into the toebox of the other shoe and you can minimize the in-the-box creasing.
