I haven’t picked up some NBs since the 997S Multi and I’ve been getting requests to review the 327. I got a couple pairs and will outline the model overall in this article.
These shoes are inspired by various 1970s New Balance releases. They combine the oversized N from the NB320 (released 1976 and the first shoe with a big N), studded outsole from the 355 and the lightweight upper from the Supercomp (both released 1977).
Usually I tend to ignore the random models people want me to review. After all, I have to buy these shoes myself and if I don’t want to spend money on something, I’m not going to. In this case though I was already curious about these and was asked to review them so much that I figured it was worth it, and I’m glad I picked up a pair!
How Do The New Balance 327 Fit?
These New Balance 327 Energy Lime are very comfortable at true to size. Some say that this sneaker has a snug fit at true to size, but this may vary depending on foot shape.
I’m typically a 9.5 in NBs like these. These return a nice, snug but comfy fit at that size. These look way better on feet than they do in hand!
Where To Buy the New Balance 327
You can shop for colorways of the 327 at New Balance as well as sneaker boutique and aftermarket sites.
See Below for where to buy specific colorways I have reviewed on this site:
New Balance 327 Energy Lime

Style Code: MS327SFA
Year of Release: 2020
MSRP: $100

The bulk of this shoe is a lightweight mesh with some suede overlays. The mesh is what it is, it’s fine for a $100 sneaker. The suede is not exactly what I would call buttery but it is still good quality. It’s actually a very shaggy suede. Not super soft but not stiff and cheap either. Overall I’d say the materials are good for this price point.
These ship in a basic grey New Balance box. The included flat white laces seem to be a little better than ordinary cheap flat laces, but still fairly unremarkable.
