I’m on a streak of buying New Balances and I’ve been enjoying some more quality kicks in my life! One of my favorite models from the line is the New Balance 1500.
The shoe originally released in 1989. It was designed by Steven Smith, the same person behind the the 574 and 997. These typically ship with two sets of laces and the typical NB hangtag but otherwise do not sport any other extras. Most general releases of this model are Made In England.
It’s dope that New Balance continues to make these Made in England shoes, as I’m feeling them overall. I wish the materials were a little more consistently remarkable considering what these retail for, but perhaps that’s why some colorways go on super sale everywhere.
How Are The Materials?
These shoes have overall pretty good quality. The uppers are usually made out of a combination of leather, suede and nubuck. Like others from New Balance Made lines, at least some of the materials will be soft, buttery, give a color change on the backstroke, etc. The materials will often vary in quality with at least one standout material on the sneaker to boost the overall premium feel of the sneaker.
How Do They Fit?
The New Balance 1500 are comfy at true to size. These provide a nice, comfortably snug retro runner fit. Not only that, we get a nice pointy toebox when viewing the shoe’s profile.
