The Diadora N9000 are my favorite model from the brand. I am updating this article with my latest pickups. The latest acquisition are the Hasbro x Diadora N9000 Monopoly.
The N9000 first released in 1990 as Diadora made the leap from tennis shoes to running shoes to compete with other sneaker brands creating runners at the time.
How Are The Diadora N9000s Materials?
The material quality on the N9000 will depend on where the particular pair is made. Similar to New Balance Made In US/UK, Diadora features pairs Made In Italy. General releases not produced in Italy are likely to have more basic quality. Meanwhile, the Made In Italy pairs tend to use way better materials.
There might be some QC issues in terms of the midsole and paneling on certain pairs, but fortunately the non-collab pairs tend to go on sale. Made In Italy pairs of N9000s are a great look if you can get some savings off of the high retail price.
How Do Diadora N9000s Fit?
The Diadora N9000 generally fit a little big. The more premium pairs tend to have less padding which give them a looser fit. However, purchasing your true size still works well.
I normally go with my typical 9.5 and they are so comfortable! The shape on the N9000 is slightly round around the toe when in hand, but still pointy enough that they look great on foot.
Where To Cop the Diadora N9000
As of the writing of this article, you can find Diadora N9000s on the Diadora website as well as various sneaker boutiques online. Individual pairs that have sold out can be sometimes be found on aftermarket sites like eBay
See below for individual reviews and links to buy each pair:

The materials on these include suede, leather and mesh for the most part. Quality is fairly good!. The suede is soft and does produce a color change. The leather has a good look to it and is also soft, albeit thin.
These come with blue flat laces. They ship in a special Diadora Heritage box that is mostly white and features some text on the inside of the box lid. Otherwise they are fairly nondescript as far as N9000s go.
I like the mix of colors and the overall quality on these Made in Italy pairs and find them worth it, especially on sale. For example, I was able to track down these down for around $64 shipped!

These are part of a 4-pair collaboration between Hasbro and Diadora. The pack celebrates board games! Diadora collaborator and garment designer Leo Colacicco helped with the design.
The sneaker features the Monopoly board game colors on the uppers represented. This is done very nicely in some super buttery suede. The quality is very impressive on these Made In Italy release! The leather on the Diadora stripe on the side is very soft and feels great. Some nylon on the lower part of the tongue and the underlays on the side panels makes up the rest of the composition.
Features include a leather liner and insole, with Diadora design by Leo Colacicco printed on the insole. The right sneaker features the Monopoly logo on the heel while the left features the “GO” artwork from the game.
These ship with flat white laces in a special box showing all the different games in the pack. The sneakers come with a special miniature co-branded Monopoly game, probably the coolest extra I’ve ever seen in a sneaker!
