Sneaker Collection
So, what’s the deal with the sneaker collection (Sienfeld Voice)? Right around 2008, I’d just lost a lot of weight and was in need of an entirely new wardrobe. I was in the process of buying newer, smaller clothes and the time came for a new pair of shoes. Rather than pick some ordinary pair like I normally would, I opted for a more interesting and unique looking pair. The response from others was so strong and positive that I decided to look more into the different kinds of cool sneakers and discovered that collecting sneakers is similar to collecting comics, baseball cards, or any other of the numerous hobbies I had when I was a kid! I’ve been into sneakers ever since – to the extent that I even got an article written about me in the paper! I’ve also been collector of the month in Solecollector Magazine (issue #47)!
As for the photography aspect, check out any Sneaker related websites (there are many), and you will typically find posts filled with awesome, artsy footwear shots. I like learning about cameras and taking interesting shots, and it turns out there are actually sites online where you can get recognized for both your collection and photography skills at the same time! You can check out some of my most recent shots below. If you’re curious, I currently shoot with a Nikon D3100 (Amazon link) and mostly use a 50mm lens.
My eBay account is where I list my current sneakers available for sale (if I happen to be selling any).
Here are some quick links to different categories of sneakers:

My last Asics pickup (and last pickup of 2018) was the Size? x Gel Saga. After that pickup, I realized I had almost passed on one of the more historical Asics releases of late! These Asics Gel Lyte OG are done up in the original colorway of the model from 1987. ...

Although I do have the Desert Sand colorway of these, initially I was quite skeptical of this shoe. The Nike React Element 87 Light Orewood are another pair of clear kicks with Nike’s new React cushioning, and I can finally admit, I’m a fan of the shoe. ...

I picked up the NASA Vans last year, but besides that I haven’t gotten anything from the brand in a while. The Purlicue X Vans Old Skool Year of the Pig are a collab with a number of details and deserve their spot as my first pickup of the year! ...

I picked up one other pair of Gel Saga in a collab this year, but wanted another colorway on the model. The Size? x Asics Gel Saga Balloon Fiesta are a tripped-out version of the Saga and another dope collab. ...
