Sneaker Collection
So, what’s the deal with the sneaker collection (Sienfeld Voice)? Right around 2008, I’d just lost a lot of weight and was in need of an entirely new wardrobe. I was in the process of buying newer, smaller clothes and the time came for a new pair of shoes. Rather than pick some ordinary pair like I normally would, I opted for a more interesting and unique looking pair. The response from others was so strong and positive that I decided to look more into the different kinds of cool sneakers and discovered that collecting sneakers is similar to collecting comics, baseball cards, or any other of the numerous hobbies I had when I was a kid! I’ve been into sneakers ever since – to the extent that I even got an article written about me in the paper! I’ve also been collector of the month in Solecollector Magazine (issue #47)!
As for the photography aspect, check out any Sneaker related websites (there are many), and you will typically find posts filled with awesome, artsy footwear shots. I like learning about cameras and taking interesting shots, and it turns out there are actually sites online where you can get recognized for both your collection and photography skills at the same time! You can check out some of my most recent shots below. If you’re curious, I currently shoot with a Nikon D3100 (Amazon link) and mostly use a 50mm lens.
My eBay account is where I list my current sneakers available for sale (if I happen to be selling any).
Here are some quick links to different categories of sneakers:

Black and yellow is one of my favorite combinations on sneakers. While I do have the 1999 Iowa or “Goldenrod” hightops in my box stacks, I’ve yet to own a low top Dunk version of the colorway. Finally, I have a simple pair in the form of the Nike Dunk Low Reverse Goldenrod. ...

I love the classic white / teal / orange type colorways. I’ve reviewed a few Dolphins-related pairs on this site! Speaking of Miami colorways, here we have the Nike Dunk Low Miami Dolphins. ...

1999 was a good year for iconic co.jp colorways such as the Nike Dunk Low Reverse Curry. Luckily for collectors, Nike occasionally throws fans of Japan-exclusive colorways a bone with retros and rereleases of colorways like this one! ...

One of the most well-known sneaker colorways is the Nike SB Dunk Low Freddy Krueger. While this pair isn’t touching that pair as far as value, importance to sneaker collecting or colorway, it is an affordable way to get some of those colors on feet. ...
