Sneaker Collection
So, what’s the deal with the sneaker collection (Sienfeld Voice)? Right around 2008, I’d just lost a lot of weight and was in need of an entirely new wardrobe. I was in the process of buying newer, smaller clothes and the time came for a new pair of shoes. Rather than pick some ordinary pair like I normally would, I opted for a more interesting and unique looking pair. The response from others was so strong and positive that I decided to look more into the different kinds of cool sneakers and discovered that collecting sneakers is similar to collecting comics, baseball cards, or any other of the numerous hobbies I had when I was a kid! I’ve been into sneakers ever since – to the extent that I even got an article written about me in the paper! I’ve also been collector of the month in Solecollector Magazine (issue #47)!
As for the photography aspect, check out any Sneaker related websites (there are many), and you will typically find posts filled with awesome, artsy footwear shots. I like learning about cameras and taking interesting shots, and it turns out there are actually sites online where you can get recognized for both your collection and photography skills at the same time! You can check out some of my most recent shots below. If you’re curious, I currently shoot with a Nikon D3100 (Amazon link) and mostly use a 50mm lens.
My eBay account is where I list my current sneakers available for sale (if I happen to be selling any).
Here are some quick links to different categories of sneakers:

After picking up some Instapumps, I wasn’t sure what the next Reeboks were going to be for the collection. The Reebok Question is Allen Iverson’s signature shoe and first released in 1996. I’m not sure if the lows also first released around that time, but being more of a fan of low tops in my ...

After picking up the Overkill ZX8500s, I wasn’t sure what the next adidas were going to be for the collection. The adidas ZX 0000 is a shoe that was supposed to release 30 years ago, but never did. If my math is correct then 30 years ago means these were supposed to drop in 1991. ...

The last NB I got were the 2002r, distinctly not Made in USA, so I had to come back to something more luxurious for the brand. ...
