The New Balance 580 is not a model that I have a lot of familiarity with.  I have owned a couple pairs though. Some of those pairs have the Made In USA treatment, and others do not.

This sneaker definitely has a chunkier look, which for me puts them in a similar category to the 999.  My preference is more with the sleek, pointy looks of the 997 and 1500, which explains why I never got too into the 580.  On the positive side, plenty of dope 580s have released in stores like Footlocker, making them one of the more accessible models.  Those that want to dip their toes in the NB waters would have an easy time grabbing a pair, depending on what time frame we are talking about.
