The Asics Gel-Respector Tonal Pack Tan is part of a set of Asics that all have one main color and a separate accent color.
In this case we have a tan with purplish blue highlights. I’m a big fan of the Gel Respector and so I had to come through yet again with another review!
These are a very yellow shade of tan. I highly suggest going with a lighter outfit and playing off the blue accents. If you want to go with a darker pair of denim, I’d go with dark blue over black. Lighter jeans or some blue shorts combined with a white top are better looks though depending on weather.
I think people totally sleep on the Gel-Respectors because of the odd-shaped toebox, but to me the shape on these is perfect. It totally embodies that retro runner shape. The Tonal Pack also has a very premium look and feel. This pack is so good, I got the gray pair as well! I highly recommend grabbing a pair of these if old-school looking runners are your thing, and the comfort and materials are at a level that makes these a very attractive buy.
How Are The Materials?
These are super lush and buttery. The upper is mostly suede with 3M and synthetic leather on the Asics branding on the side. I’m digging the skinny rope laces too. You really get more bang for the buck on these, especially if you can find them on sale. The quality on these is top notch and the suede is on par with shoes that are worth many more times what these go for on the market right now. If you’re into premium materials, these are a smart pickup.
How Do They Fit?
The Asics Gel-Respector Tonal Pack Tan fit true to size and are very comfortable. I might have even been able to go down half a size but these still fit great at true size, similar to other Gel-Respectors I’ve reviewed. As mentioned before, the shape on these is perfect.
