Here we have an entry in the “remastered” series from Jordan Brand, the Air Jordan 6 Maroon.
This OG colorway has finally retro’d complete with the Nike Air branding on the back of the shoe and on the lacelocks. There was a lot of hype leading up to the release of this off-white and maroon colorway, but the hype died once it was realized that the shoe was produced in extreme numbers at a retail price of $220.
Here is another shoe that looks good with a surprising number of combinations. A black and grey outfit (black pants, grey top or vice versa) can work as well as khakis or light denim with a white top. I keep a burgundy hoodie on deck for shoes such as these. A navy layer can work too, given the shade of maroon used.
I love this OG colorway and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to finally own a pair. Even if the retail price is exorbitant and the shoes are not “limited”, still worth it. While resellers may be crying foul at the prices, fans of Jordans are most likely stoked at being able to grab a pair.
How Are The Materials?
I’d say the materials on these are great for the time. A nice mixture of smooth and tumbled leather really make these feel like a premium shoe. Since these released, Jordan has dropped shoes with better materials, but when these came out, I would have said these were top notch. If materials are a concern, you will be put at ease with a pair of these.
How Do They Fit?
These Air Jordan 6 Maroon fit a little big, so even though I went true to size, I feel like I could have gone down half a size. That said, these don’t feel clunky or uncomfortable, so you would still be safe at TTS.
