Of all the different Air Jordan models, I find 1s probably the easiest to wear. When the Air Jordan 1 Yin Yang pack dropped, I had to grab the white pair.
I’m still on the fence with the black pair (basically a reverse of these) because I just picked up some Vans with a very similar color scheme. The whole point of the reverse black and white colorways has to do with the Yin Yang symbol/theme. These kicks seem to be very slept on thanks to the more high profile Air Jordan 1 releases that have been dropping.
I get the whole Yin Yang theme and I feel like this is a great colorway. It can go easily with a lot of different outfits. Today I paired them up with a white tee from the Bape x Undftd collab last year, a dark grey zip up hoodie from American Apparel, a dark grey PRL Beanie and some light wash denim from H&M. I could also see some kind of grey top/black jeans or even a black on black outfit to help these pop. You could even go with some shorts and a tank top in summer; Jordan 1s have this ability to pair easily with a lot of different looks.
How Are The Materials?
Like a lot of Air Jordan 1 “OG” highs that have been dropping, these are comprised of a smooth leather upper. The quality is definitely there and I feel like any newer pairs of AJ1 highs with the “OG” designation are going to have at least decent materials. These shoes keep it pretty simple and that’s a good thing in this case.
How Do They Fit?
The Air Jordan 1 Yin Yang in white fit true to size and are decently comfortable. Air Jordan 1s are not known for comfort, but these newer versions seem a little wider near the toebox. The extra room helps these not be quite as narrow and thus a lot more wearable. While these are stiffer and heavier than some runners, they also provide more support.
