Came up on these for half off thanks to a huge sale and I couldn’t be happier! The Air Force 1 High Game Royal is part of an OG Color of the Month pack that pays tribute to stores in Baltimore like Downtown Locker Room and Charley Rudo Sports.
Those spots ordered and successfully sold out of custom colorways from Nike due to the huge following of the Air Force 1 in the area in the early-mid 80s. Of all the colorways that dropped from this pack, I’m definitely feeling these the most – that color of blue is just too dope!
Nike seems to be using remastered materials on these with high quality leather on the upper and a soft suede swoosh. The materials on these are super buttery! I was so happy and surprised when I took these out of the box that I had to un-ds the next day! I still can’t believe I was able to get a shoe of this quality for half off! If you are doubting whether Nike can still produce a shoe with quality materials, you should definitely check these out.
The Air Force 1 High Game Royal fit roomy at true to size. Although these are old tech and thus a bit heavy, they’re still really comfortable. This is definitely a casual shoe rather than a technical athletic shoe. Expect these to be better for standing around chilling or walking short distances rather than running or playing basketball. However, they are a high top and the included straps (came with blue or white straps that can be swapped out) could theoretically add enough support for maybe a light game of 21. Your call if you want to risk it, but don’t let it stop you from copping a pair either way.
