The Adidas Pure Boost 2.0 Core Black takes over where the original Pure Boost left off by improving the overall comfort of the shoe. A point of contention amongst some is the overall shape of these vs. the original Pure Boost.
These feature the 3 stripes logo in perforations and a croc print design. The shoe also sees an addition of a pulltab in the back.
These are mostly made out of a thick mesh upper (the OG’s had neoprene) with synthetic materials on the side. There is a small hit of suede on the tongue and a low profile synthetic rand around the toe cap.
The materials on these definitely seem sturdy enough for many wears, although they definitely don’t fall into the “premium” category. I’d describe these as more functional than anything
Fit and Comfort
While the first iteration of the sneaker had a notoriously thin tongue, the Pure Boost 2.0 takes it up a notch with a more padded tongue and a more substantial upper in general. These fit true to size and feel like walking on marshmallows. Even if you dislike the shape of the shoe, I think its a small price to pay for the added comfort.
