The last Adidas I picked up were some Yeezys. I haven’t acquired a “regular” pair of Adidas in some time, but that ends now with this Adidas Nite Jogger Shock Red.
The Nite Jogger gets its name from a shoe Adidas released in 1980, although the look has been greatly updated for modern times, with Boost and everything.
The black, white, grey and infrared-ish palette is so easy to rock! It’s one of my favorite combos on a shoe for this reason. Literally any pants will go with these, and once you have your pants you can look at the whole fit and figure out a top that works. I wouldn’t stress matching these up too much, just make sure to take your pant length/taper into account to make sure you’re showing off the sleek shape of the shoe properly.
I waited a couple months for these to go on sale, so I’m not the first kid on the block with a pair or a review. However, I think that these aren’t really a “collector” shoe so much as an overall lifestyle shoe, so getting them at a discount makes them a bit more worth it. As far as looks, comfort and materials, these have it!
How Are The Materials?
The materials here are nylon ripstop, mesh and suede with 3M accents. Similar to other newer boost kicks with suede, I find the texture to be ok. I’m not the biggest fan of ripstop materials, but they do add a bit of ruggedness to the silhouette. The materials are for the most part decent on these, and I think people that care about sneaker materials a lot will find these acceptable.
How Do They Fit?
These Adidas Nite Jogger Shock Red are comfy at true to size. With the Boost cushioning, these are of course very comfy. I’d say not quite as “squishy” as an I-5923, but with a bit more stability, closer to an NMD if anything.
