I’m back with some more 5ks! My collection is getting pretty deep, but I still had to grab these Saucony Shadow 5000 Aqua before stock on various stores sells out.
Something about the shape and look of these just makes them so attractive to me. I usually conduct a minor toebox reshaping on my runners, but these barely need it! Thus, I’ve been stacking up mad pairs of Shadow 5ks
This particular pair gets its name from the colorway but otherwise isn’t limited or anything like that. I’m digging the charcoal instead of black used throughout the shoe – it mellows the colorway out a bit in my opinion.
How are the materials?
Just like other Shadow 5000s I’ve reviewed, the materials on these are not anything special. The suede is very felt-like and the synthetic rubber S logo on the side is not that great either. Then again, these are more about the retro aesthetic than the quality of the materials. I found this pair to have less glue marks and quality issues than the typical Shadow 5000 so these are at least a step up there.
How do they fit?
Of course the Saucony Shadow 5000 Aqua fit true to size and of course they are very comfortable. I’ve yet to find a Saucony runner in the entire Shadow line that wasn’t superb in the comfort and fit department. I highly recommend these for people that want casual runners with a really good shape, aesthetic and colorway. You can’t go wrong on the comfort level and you certainly can’t go wrong with the price.
