Saucony Grid 9000 Green & Black Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

I like the looks of the Grid 9000 but most of the colorways I could find online did not look like they had decent materials. Finally, I found these Saucony Grid 9000 Green & Black and ordered, and I was not disappointed!

This colorway in particular caught my eye as it reminded me of the Asbury Dunk SB Mids with the greyish-green and black with yellow accents. The Grid 9000 originally came out in the 90s and the style definitely reflects a bulkier running shoe from that time.

These are made out of suede and mesh. The suede on these is good! Overall, the materials have a premium feel to them, which is dope considering I didn’t have to pay a premium price for these. The construction is also on point, I can’t find any odd factory errors, glue marks, etc on these. Overall I give the materials a thumbs up!

The Saucony Grid 9000 Green & Black fit true to size. These shoes are really comfortable. The bigger overall silhouette (as compared to say a Shadow 5000) seems to give these a little bit more room which in this case adds to the comfort without taking away from the overall shape and aesthetic of a pointy 90s running shoe.
