The Nike Dunk High LE Carolina is another LE dunk from 1999 that I had to break out.
Among dunk collectors, it’s fun to stunt with super old, super rare pairs. It’s a challenge to find dunks from this era in this condition or even at all!
White and light blue go great with either black or khaki pants and a white or grey top. I like to layer over white tees, and so if you go with a white top, I’d suggest a grey or black hoodie. It’s weird how black can play off light blue really well, but it works!
White and Carolina Blue are definitely a great, clean color combo and I’m really happy I was able to add these to the collection. Who needs Powder Blue AJ1s when you have these?
How Are The Materials?
The smooth leather that is on these is unmatched by any current release. The leather on these has also aged well with few blemishes considering the shoes are nearly 20 years old. Pretty much all of the dunks from this time are made with simple, great quality leather such as this.
How Do They Fit?
These fit great at true to size! The dunk highs of old were more supple and fit slightly big for maximum comfort. These should be very easy to wear around all day!
Where To Cop the Nike Dunk High LE Carolina
As of the writing of this article, these are tough to come by online. Try eBay for some dunks in this era.
Watch out for fakes!
