The Dark Mocha were my last pair of 1s, but I’m back with these Air Jordan 1 High Co.Jp Neutral Grey.
These are the 3rd time this colorway has released. The first version of these is a Japan exclusive from 2001 limited to 2001 pairs. The second is for the 2010 25th (silver) anniversary of the Air Jordan line.
These come in a special silver and grey Air Jordan 1 High box and include grey skinny oval laces. The paper in the box has a pattern with the jumpman logo, 2001 and 2020 on it. These feature a tag on the inside tongue with a similar design.
While I don’t regret selling my 25th Anniversary pair, I always wanted to get a version that was similar to the original release in 2001. The price tag attached to those was too high and this is basically that. While there are some branding and material differences particularly with the tongue, overall we get a good version of this colorway and I’m glad to finally have it!
How Are The Materials?
I had the silver anniversary pair, and I really like how the leather is more matte on this pair, and therefore more similar to the OG release of this colorway. The silver anniversaries had more of a super shiny tin-foil type appearance to the leather. The short haired suede they are using is pretty soft and the leather seems relatively soft and plush. I wasn’t expecting a lot from what is basically a GR AJ1 but these definitely have a satisfactory level of quality to them overall.
How Do They Fit?
These fit true to size. I do a size 10 in most Nikes like Air Jordan 1s, 3s, Air Maxes, etc. I got my regular size 10 and these fit fine. The AJ1 is not known for its comfort, but these are decently comfy for a few hours of wear at a time.
