The Safari SBs were tough to get for some, and the same will definitely true for these Nike SB Dunk Low Atmos Elephant. The shoes are based off the well-known 2007 Air Max 1 collab with Japanese retailer Atmos.
Once I had the Safaris, I knew I had to have these and previews were already floating around! It’s been tough to get SB’s these days but I still get lucky sometimes and I highly recommend you leap on a pair if you can find one at a decent price.
These came in a regular purple Nike SB box and include black and grey SB laces. The shoe appears to basically be a GR, although with Nike SB that’s not saying much these days.
How Are The Materials?
These feature a leather with a seemingly quality finish along with soft nubuck on the elephant print. I will say, the QC on the print consistency is not great – very blotchy in certain parts and thin in others. I do like the texture of the nubuck though. There’s also some basic suede on the black panels and a patent leather swoosh. Overall I’d say the materials are decent for a GR level modern SB.
How Do They Fit?
The Nike SB Dunk Low Atmos Elephant fit snug as expected, so I went a half size up. This allows for additional comfort and room. I’m glad I did, as these sport stiff materials that would require way too long of a break in for someone who only wears them casually like me.
