How Quality Are The Materials On the NB 992?
The Made in USA level of materials is definitely here. The 992 usually delivers the soft suede that we have come to love from this brand. Certain pairs feature buttery leathers while others might include microfiber or another material. Generally the materials are good to great regardless. Of course, certain hits like the N logo and heel will have some 3M baked in. Overall, the materials on the 992 are not the best materials I’ve seen from the brand, but they are still very good for a sneaker that retails for under $200
These usually ship in a basic grey New Balance Made In USA box. They include a paper Made in USA tag and flat laces. Nothing else is typically included with the sneaker.
How Do The New Balance 992 Fit?
These New Balance 992 Multicolor are comfortable at true to size. These deliver a nice, roomy fit that is wide-foot friendly. If the width feels excessive on the 992, a half size down from your normal size is recommended.
Since I like the pointy toe look on retro runners, the 992 shape is something to get used to for me, but on feet the mudguard near the toebox does not seem as blocky as it does in hand.
I have caught a decent sales on these and have been able to scoop them up for under retail, which makes the choice to purchase them a little easier. .

You can sometimes find pairs on the New Balance website. More often than not though, they sell out quickly and so online sneaker boutiques and aftermarket sites like eBay are helpful.
