The last 90s I had on this blog were the Laser Blue pair, which is a retro of an original colorway. Here, we’re going with a brand new color scheme with these Nike Air Max 90 Vast Grey / Pink.
I’m not really sure if these have a nickname so I’m just going with the colorway.
These come in a regular orange Nike box and include plain flat grey laces. That’s literally all that comes with the shoe. For some reason the retail is $150 for these, yet there are less extras than what came with some of the $120 recrafts.
The price had turned me off from getting these, but I wound up with a $75 coupon on Nike.com so I was able to get these for way less than retail. If that hadn’t happened it would have been a pass unless they went on a deep discount. I think $120 is a fair price or maybe $130 thanks to the nicer leather. Either way, now that I have them, they are indeed a really dope shoe and a nice unique colorway.
How Are The Materials?
Maybe this is what we’re paying for? While the suede and mesh seem fairly standard on this pair, the grey leather actually seems soft and of a higher quality. The grain actually appears to be in the leather and not just added on as a tumbled finish. Also, as a nice surprise, the leather swooshes turn out to be 3M reflective on both the inner- and outer-facing sides. Overall I’d rate the materials a cut above a standard pair of recraft AM90s, but I’m not sure it justifies a $30 price hike.
How Do They Fit?
True to size is the way to go for these Nike Air Max 90 Vast Grey / Pink. Get whatever you get in most Nikes; for me, that’s a size 10. These provide a great shape right out of the box and are very comfortable like all the other recrafts.
