These seem very related to the Turbo Green, namely because these Air Jordan 1 Hyper Crimson also have the “SP 19 Air Jordan 1 High OG” writing on the side panel.
The shoe is also meant to have a “vintage” look with the exposed tongue padding. The kicks come with black and hyper crimson laces.
Another surprisingly versatile Jordan 1, I’ve found the lighter grey helps light wash denim and khaki colored pants stand out. Meanwhile, the black portions of the shoe open up the possibility of black or grey outfits to also work well. Either way I’d complete the look with a grey or black top – this can be done without appearing too matchy since the tones are mostly neutral on the shoe except the hits of orange and yellow.
How Are The Materials?
Similar to the Turbo Green 1s, the materials on these are supposed to be rough and to have a vintage effect. The leather here is very close to those, with that tumbled “texturing” done to it. However, the suede seems to be slightly better and less rough to the touch. Still, for these kicks it’s look and colorway over materials.
How Do They Fit?
These Air Jordan 1 Hyper Crimson fit narrow just like any other Jordan 1. I went with my true size and they’re comfy for hanging out in, but as usual don’t rock these for too long or they will start to tax your feet.
I’m liking what the newer colorways are looking like on the AJ1. This is a pair that I’m sure I will rock a lot given the mostly black and grey upper. I may even try the Hyper Crimson lace swap as a Halloween shoe this year (if I remember).
