A lot of people decided against these based off a perceived similarity to the Yeezy 500 Blush. To me though, these Adidas Yeezy 500 Salt are different enough to warrant a purchase.
The shoes get their name from the colorway.
The main difference between these and the Blush is the almost “minty” greenish blue tone that these have. As compared to the Blush which are more of a pinkish beige. Regardless, they do about the same thing to an outfit, so pair these up with some joggers or some light wash denim and a white or grey top for an easy outfit.
I now have every released 500 and I don’t plan on stopping! I’m a big fan of what Yeezy and Adidas have been able to do with these, and I always feel like I have something different on foot with these. They’re not super flashy, but at the same time if you look closely, they really have a unique look to them compared to what others around might have on.
How Are The Materials?
100% Typical Yeezy 500 quality. The differently suede, leathe and mesh textures all over the shoe are accented by 3M piping and give the shoe that premium feel. I think if you’re in the market for these, you should already understand the next level of sneaker you are getting materials wise. Although I’ve seen butterier suede on Made In USA New Balances, these definitely hold their own.
How Do They Fit?
The Adidas Yeezy 500 Salt fit true to your Adidas size. I went a half size up due to availability. I still find them comfortable that way, and they don’t feel huge on foot. I find the comfort to really be there as well. I think with a half size down I can just start to feel the shoe touch the top of my toe, but this is alleviated in the half size up. I don’t mind a snug fit but in this case I grabbed what I could and it fits fine.
