Who knows when my CDP 3s will crumble? To protect against this, I picked up these 2018 Air Jordan 3 Black Cement. Aside from some slight textural differences they’re basically they’re the same shoe, but with Nike Air on the back instead of a Jumpman.
For some reason, I feel like these look best with dark or black denim. Sure, khakis and other pant colors can work but these look extra mean with a nice blacked-out fit. I think a black top with white detailing and black denim help achieve a cold look with some BC3s. These are still versatile enough if you want to experiment though.
While these might not get much play in my rotation right now, When my CDP pair becomes unwearable and I eventually sell them off, these will be a much appreciated pair of 3s. I feel like I need to always have a pair of BC3s on hand, and the true “OG” treatment given with the Nike Air branding is an added plus!
How Are The Materials?
The materials on the 2018 Black Cement take a bit of a hit from previous releases. The quality overall looks decent, but winds up being merely average for a Jordan brand release.
They’re not terrible, but they’re nothing to write home about. The leather used seems to have some artificial tumble to it. The nubuck on the cement print isn’t bad, but is about the most average grade material they could use here.
How Do The 2018 Air Jordan 3 Black Cement Fit?
The Jordan 3 Black Cement fit true to size.
I find them comfy for wearing a couple of hours at a time, but I would avoid wearing these for too long while standing or doing anything on my feet. They definitely can get uncomfortable after a while as the cushioning technology is roughly 30 years old.
