Nike SB Dunk Low Shadow J-Pack Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

J-Packs are nothing new to the collection, and we were definitely missing a neutral grey “shadow” colorway in the set. These Nike SB Dunk Low Shadow J-Pack fill that void.

The “J-Pack” nickname is a send up to the colorblocking, which is similar to an old Air Jordan 1 color scheme with the placement of blacks vs a single color on the dunk.

One of the more notable changes on this shoe is the box! We have now officially moved from the teal box to the purple box. These also ship with black and grey SB laces.

Another in a set of dope colorways! The J-Pack color blocking has worked nearly every time and it doesn’t disappoint with these. Super glad to have these int he collection!

How Are The Materials?

The materials here are short hair suede / nubuck with a leather side panel and toebox. The nubuck is pretty smooth while the leather is a basic tumble. Overall, these feel better than some of the other GR SB’s out there, but only slightly. They also seem like a slight backpedal from the Green J-Packs which were the last to release with this color blocking. The materials are decent but nothing to write home about. I do get a slight backstroke color change on the swoosh which is nice.

How Do They Fit?

These Nike SB Dunk Low Shadow J-Pack are comfy at true size, however I prefer a half size up. This gives me no pinky rub and no break in. At that size, these are very comfortable for my foot shape.
