Nike SB Dunk Low Parra Review

By Anthony Levine, longtime sneaker collector.

I’ve basically just been copping SB’s lately for the most part. Here’s a collab that I just had to have; the Nike SB Dunk Low Parra.

These fall in the same vein as the Air Max 1s that released last year. Parra is a Dutch artist that also happens to at one point have been a skater.

The signature pink, red and light blue used on the AM1 collab makes a return here along with a similar colorful pattern. We see the pattern on the insole, ankle liner and tongue tag. The insoles read Nike SB x Parra and the tongue tag features the Parra logo. The rear of the shoe features SB on the left shoe and the Parra sig logo on the right. These sport a tiny mini swoosh near the toe. The shoe comes with white and multicolored laces.

Perhaps the most stand-out element though is the chenille swoosh that shows in layers of color on the shoe. Rather than the normal double swoosh which is a swoosh with an outline, this one fades downward as more of a gradient, making the mark look chunkier and extend further down. On top of this, the left shoe features a blue mini-swoosh by the toebox.

I’m such a fan of dunks and of the Parra AM1s that these were basically a must-have for me. I highly recommend picking these up, as I’m not sure when we will see another Parra collab on a dunk.

How Are The Materials?

The entire upper a smooth leather. This leather is pretty good! It has a nice texture to it and the slight grain doesn’t seem like added tumbling but legit leather. I’m not going to say it’s mind-blowingly amazing, but it does the trick and overall the craftsmanship on the shoe seems on point.

How Do They Fit?

These Nike SB Dunk Low Parra are comfy at a half size up for me. It’s been half size up for all SBs for me for the last few purchases and I find them breaking in faster and being more comfy right out of the box. One thing to note is the bottom two eyelets are actually configured like the classic dunks of old, which gives these a more classic look on feet and a more aerodynamic shape in general.
