I’ve been on a roll with the dunk pickups lately. The Nike SB Dunk Low Celadon is seemingly based on the early ’90s Nike ACG Caldera Plus hiking boots. Meanwhile, the Red Plums are based off the 1992 “Plum” ACG Air Terra release.
While Celadon is a term for a certain type of pottery, these actually get their name from the colorway.
These both came in the purple Nike SB box. The Celadons include sets of greyish tan and light blue SB laces while the Red Plum include black and neon. The sneakers are otherwise relatively simple and don’t come with other extras.
I was looking for pairs where the resale wasn’t too bad, and based my purchase off of that. I’m very pleased with the colorways and ACG vibes, although I wish the suede was a bit nicer. Still, good dunks for those into SB dunk collecting.
How Are The Materials?
The uppers here are entirely suede. The quality seems pretty basic on this material. It feels rough and sandpapery to the touch with the exception of maybe the swoosh. Granted, these are skate shoes and built to be rugged. While nothing here really jumps out as “premium”, the shoe doesn’t feel cheap either. Overall I think dunk collectors will give the materials on these pairs a pass thanks to the very nice colorways
How Do They Fit?
These fit snug as expected so I went a half size up on both. That said, the suede on the upper here has some give despite being roughly textured, so these might work at true to size as well. I think they will both break in somewhat quickly.
