I basically went all in when I grabbed the Rose colorway and ordered the rest of the OG series. Next up are these Nike Air Max 90 OG Hyper Grape.
The “OG” refers to a newer AM90 design using a shape closer to the original releases from 1990.
It’s the same story with all these newer 90s, we get the super skinny 30th Anniversary box. The box, included anatomical arch supports and hangtag all share the same purple color found on the kicks. The shoes ship with standard flat white laces and no spare laces.
That’s four pairs of these under my belt with one left to go in this color series. I have them in hand already, so that review should be coming soon!
How Are The Materials?
These sport a slightly higher quality than a normal GR Nike Sportswear pair of 90s. The felt-like suede is somewhat soft but not lush. This is similar to all the other skinny box 90s. Overall you get a basic level of materials – but just a tad better.
How Do They Fit?
These fit true size. At that size, these are comfy with no break-in time or pinky rub. The narrow box can lead to some dents around the toebox, but those should come out when on foot. With all that said, the new shape looks good on foot, nice and pointy. These also feel lighter than regular GR 90s – I’m not sure if I’m imagining things there, but either way these are very comfortable.
