OK enough with the GR AM90 recrafts such as the New Maroon colorway. Finally, I’ve gotten a fresh pair of Nike Air Max 90 Laser Blue, a pair I’ve been waiting on for a long time!
This was an original colorway of the Air Max 90 and rumored to release in this new recraft version for some time. This has finally become a reality!
These come in the special skinny Nike box like the other recrafts, only slightly bigger to help alleviate the shoes getting smashed. The box features the current box label on one side and a throwback label on the other. These come with an orange rubbery plastic hangtag, magenta anatomical arch supports and plain flat white laces. The sneakers feature a retro size tag on the inside of the tongue and have the size indicated inside the ankle as well.
I had a retro of these in 2010 and foolishly sold them. Now, I can finally rest easy knowing I have this colorway in my collection. I highly recommend getting these if you are a fan of this model!
How Are The Materials?
We basically get the recraft level of materials here – nothing special with these. the bulk of the upper is thin smooth leather and mesh, with a suede swoosh. The focus on these is obviously all the nods to the OG and not a premium level of suede and leather. The suede soosh is at least soft, and on a true retro runner, thinner lighter materials make sense.
How Do They Fit?
Stay true to size for these Nike Air Max 90 Laser Blue. Whatever you get in most Nikes, get that size here. For me, that’s a size 10. I feel like these are ever so slightly more snug than the other recrafts but not so much that you should deviate from your normal size.
